Advisory Board
An Advisory Board (AB) was set up as expert support for improving project implementation and rising discussion in specific issues. The AB is composed of representatives from:

  • The West African Health Organisation (WAHO),
  • The New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD),
  • Associations concerned by health inequalities like the People’s Health Movement (PHM),
  • Other organizations performing research in the field of health inequalities like the University College of London (UCL, UK) and the Brazilian organizations willing to develop an analogous project, University of Sao Paulo and Fiocruz.

The role of the AB is to advise the Project Coordinator - the COHRED Group - and the Project Board on strategic decisions and to provide political support to facilitate the implementation of the strategy developed in the project. The AB will participate in any of the consortium meetings and review the project deliverables in order to evaluate their relevance and quality.

The advisory board will also constitute a support for recommending local experts, analysing collected data, determining best practices and policies, discussing specific issues, and developing a complementary project in Brazil.
